Who owns what

Short version: the game is ours, what you build in it is yours, and we are not going to be difficult about either.
The game
Lumenwick — the code, the drawings, the world, the story, the music and the name itself — belongs to the makers of Lumenwick. © 2026.
You may
- Play it, for free, as much as you like.
- Take screenshots and record video, and put those anywhere: a stream, a video, a school project, a post.
- Write about it, good or bad.
You do not have to ask. Just say where it came from, so people can find it.
You may not
- Copy the game and run your own version of it.
- Sell it, or sell anything from it.
- Take the drawings, the lantern or the name and use them for something of your own.
- Say you made it.
Want something that is not on this list? Ask: [email protected]. The answer is usually yes.
What you make in the game
Your room, how you arranged your furniture, and later your own island: that is yours. We will not sell it, we will not put it in an advertisement, and we will not use it somewhere else without asking you.
Two honest limits. It lives on our server, so it is there as long as your account is — delete the account and it goes with it. And if someone reports it, a moderator can look at it. That is the same rule as everywhere else on this page: the report button only works if someone can actually look.
What you write
What you say in a chat is yours. We store it so the other person can read it, and we show it to nobody else — unless it is reported, and then a moderator can read that conversation.
You keep what you wrote. We do not use it for anything but delivering it.
Names
Places, characters and the story of Lumenwick are made up. Any resemblance to a real harbour or a real person is coincidence.
If something is wrong
Do you think something in Lumenwick is yours and should not be here? Write to [email protected] with what it is and where it is, and it will be taken down while we work it out. No lawyers needed for the first email.
